Your January campaign, ready to go

Hi Reader,

January is the biggest month of the year for most gyms and studios. It’s also the month most owners plan last.

By the time they sit down to it, it’s mid-December, everyone’s busy, and January becomes a discount and a “new year, new you” post.

So I’ve put together a free kit to get January sorted now, while there’s still time.

No resolutions. Just progress.

Most January marketing promises a new you. People have heard it before, and most resolutions are gone by February.

This campaign does the opposite.

It’s built around the Triple 7, three small habits created by James Breese at Strength Matters, who I work with:

  • 7,000 steps a day
  • 7 glasses of water a day
  • 7 hours of sleep a night

They’re small enough to start today and simple enough to still be going in March. And they attract the kind of people who stay.

What’s in the kit

  • A week-by-week plan, from now to the end of January
  • An eight-page Triple 7 guide to brand, print and share as your free offer
  • Seven emails and seven social posts, ready to adapt
  • A plan for a January open session
  • Weekly check-ins that keep new starters coming
  • A habit tracker and a 90-day marketing planner

Why now

A personal training studio owner I coached in Melbourne had his best January ever, then his best February. Other owners asked what his secret was.

There wasn’t one. He’d blocked out time every week in October, November and December, and done the small things consistently.

Hit reply and tell me what you’re planning for January. I read every reply.

Andrew

P.S. The guide is yours to brand. Add your logo, your photos and your favourite local walks, and it becomes something no national chain can copy.

Most PTs aren’t struggling because of effort. They’re stuck because they don’t have a system. That’s why income stalls at £2k–£5k/month. I help fitness professionals fix that by installing a simple Growth Engine that creates consistent leads, better conversions, and predictable revenue. No hacks. No guesswork. Just structure that compounds. With 20+ years in the industry — from PT to building a 6-location bootcamp business — I’ve learned that growth comes from systems, not more effort. Join Fitness Marketing Blueprints for practical strategies to help you scale to £10k+.

There’s a type of client every PT has had. They start strong. Show up on time.Follow the plan.Say all the right things. You think: “This is going to be a great one.” Then a few weeks pass… They cancel a session. Then another. Then they’re “away this week.” Then… Nothing. No complaint. No awkward conversation. No refund request. They just quietly disappear. And most PTs tell themselves the same thing: “They lost motivation.” It sounds reasonable. Even comforting. Because it puts the problem on...

A PT told me last week: “I had 7 enquiries… but only signed 2.” He said it like it was normal. So I asked: “What happened to the other 5?” There was a bit of a pause. Then: “Not sure really… a couple said they’d think about it.” “One went quiet.” “Think one just wasn’t ready.” — That’s how most of us lose clients. Not dramatically. No one slams the door. No one says, “this isn’t for me.” They just… drift. — And because it’s quiet, it gets ignored. You move on. Post more. Hope the next batch...

Two PTs work out of the same gym. Same equipment. Same membership price. Same local area. One is fully booked. The other is posting every day… and still has gaps in their diary. The second PT isn’t lazy. They’re doing what they’ve been told: Posting consistently Trying to “add value” Staying visible Maybe even throwing in a few reels they don’t really enjoy making. From the outside, it looks like they’re doing everything right. But when someone actually messages and asks: “Do you have...
