How to use proof (without sounding like a show-off)

YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE

Hey Reader,

We’re 3 weeks into Authority Amplified—this month’s series on building trust, visibility, and positioning…

Even if your audience is small.

So far, we’ve talked about why trust beats reach, and how to position yourself as the go-to coach.

Today?

Let’s tackle something that trips up a lot of coaches:

“How do I share wins without sounding arrogant?”

Here’s the answer:

You don’t need to brag.

You just need to document.

People don’t trust hype.

They trust stories, screenshots, and behind-the-scenes insights.

3 Types of Proof That Build Trust (Naturally)

1. Client Stories

Tell short, real stories that show transformation.

“When Jen started, she hadn’t trained in years. Now she’s stronger at 52 than she was at 32.”

2. Screenshots & Testimonials

DMs, WhatsApp messages, emails—those casual wins are gold.

Capture them. Share them. Keep it real.

3. “Over-the-Shoulder” Content

Let people see the process.

A quick video of a check-in message. A photo from a Zoom session.

It’s not about you—it’s about showing what’s possible.

Authority isn’t about shouting.

It’s about showing.

If you’ve helped even one person get a result, you have proof.

Use it.

And more importantly—frame it in a way that speaks to your next client.

Want feedback?

If you’re not sure how to share a win or result without sounding like a show-off…

Reply with a screenshot, snippet, or story and I’ll help you reframe it.

To your success,

Andrew

P.S. Next week, I’ll wrap up the Authority Amplified series by showing you how to build the “Trust Flywheel” that keeps growing your business—even when you’re not posting every day.

ANDREW WALLIS YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE Hey Reader, We’ve spent the past month digging into what actually builds trust and visibility as a coach: ✅ You don’t need 10K followers ✅ You don’t need to shout louder ✅ You don’t need to fake hype What you do need is momentum. “Content freedom comes from constraint. Pick a lane. Plan ahead. Post with purpose.” — Andrew Wallis Hey Reader, Let’s be honest—there’s nothing more draining than staring at a blinking cursor, wondering what to post today. You’re juggling client sessions, programming, admin, and trying to squeeze in a social post that doesn’t sound like a cry for help. I get it. But here’s the truth: consistency isn’t about showing up daily with genius content pulled from thin air—it’s about having a system...

ANDREW WALLIS YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE Hey Reader, Last week we kicked off Authority Amplified—my June series on building trust and visibility (even with a small audience). This week’s focus? Positioning. Because if your message is vague, your dream clients will scroll right past you… …even if you’re the perfect coach for them. ⸻ You don’t need to be louder. You need to be clearer. The easiest way to do that? Use the “Only Coach” positioning formula: “I’m the only coach who helps [target...
