The $0 Marketing Plan That Still Works in 2025

YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE

Hey Reader,

Let’s play a quick game.

Imagine you wake up tomorrow and your marketing budget disappears—no ads, no fancy tools, no paid promotions.

Would your business survive?

For many fitness pros, the answer is… not great.

But here’s the thing...

...some of the best marketing strategies cost absolutely nothing—and they still work just as well in 2025 as they did 10 years ago.

3 No-Cost Marketing Strategies That Bring in Clients

1. The Referral Shortcut

Your best clients already know people who’d love your training. The easiest way to get referrals? Just ask.

Try this:

"Hey [client’s name], you’ve been crushing it lately! Who in your circle would love to see the same results? I’d love to offer them a free trial session."

Simple. Non-salesy. And it works.

2. Local Business Partnerships (aka Free Exposure)

Find businesses that serve the same people as you:

  • Chiropractors
  • Sports massage therapists
  • Coffee shops (because caffeine and fitness are best friends)

Offer them something valuable for their customers (a free workshop, a discount, or a helpful resource) and they’ll promote you for free. Win-win.

3. Actually Engage on Social Media

Here’s the hard truth: posting and hoping doesn’t work.

But commenting, answering questions, and starting conversations does.

Instead of just posting, spend 10 minutes per day:

💬 Commenting on posts from potential clients
🙋 Answering questions in local Facebook groups
🎤 Dropping voice notes in DMs (people love these)

It’s free—and it builds trust faster than any ad.

Want More Strategies Like This?

I’m putting together a full ‘Organic Growth Flywheel Playbook’ covering even more no-cost strategies that get real results.

If you’d like a copy when it’s ready, just reply with ‘ORGANIC’ and I’ll send it your way.

Because great marketing isn’t about spending more—it’s about getting smarter.

Best,
Andrew

ANDREW WALLIS YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE Hey Reader, Last week I sent an email about why your content strategy might be backward - and I got this reply from Zahid, a weight loss coach: “I want to know more about content type… not sure about my niche or how to know it.” Honestly? That’s a common challenge—and a smart question. Because if you don’t know who you’re talking to, or what they care about, creating content that actually works becomes a guessing game. So let’s fix that. Start with...

"Small disciplines repeated with consistency every day lead to great achievements gained slowly over time." – John C. Maxwell. Hi Reader, Can you believe it’s nearly the end of March already? Same here. I blinked and somehow we’re heading into Q2. And if you’re anything like most fitness professionals I work with, there’s a good chance you kicked off January with a whole load of motivation and a handful of big goals... ...but life (and client sessions, and programming, and everything else)...

ANDREW WALLIS YOUR FITNESS BUSINESS GUIDE Hey Reader, If you’ve been posting consistently but getting crickets, here’s a tough question: Are you speaking to the right people at the right time? Most fitness pros post in the wrong order—and that’s why their content doesn’t convert. Let me explain. The 3 Types of People Seeing Your Content Every potential client falls into one of these categories: 🔹 Cold Audience – They’ve never heard of you. They don’t trust you (yet).🔹 Warm Audience – They...
